club of the Great Dane Club of America and promote the welfare
and betterment of the Gentle Giant through education, protection
and advancement of the breed. Our club meets monthly in a live
chat, is one of the sponsors of the Heart of Florida Cluster, supports Dane Rescue and enjoys social get togethers.
GDCNCF STORENEWSThe Great Dane Club of North Central Florida’s Friday, September 26, 2008, Specialty kicks off a three-day weekend of Great Dane breeder judges at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in Deland, Florida.
California Dane breeder Mari J. Hayhurst is judging the Specialty with Mrs. Wilma “Willie” Crawford judging the Sweepstakes.
Our Specialty precedes the back-to-back West Volusia Kennel Club’s all breed shows on September 27 and 28 with Florida Dane breeder judges presiding over the Great Dane rings. Saturday’s judge is Theresa “Terry” Goldman, and Sunday’s judge is Dr. Donald M. Booxbaum.
We’re planning a weekend of good showing and Florida hospitality for you, so mark your calendars. Last year, we sent six Great Danes home with majors. We hope to see you there this year!
